Date and time: Saturday 25th October 2025 11am - 6pm Please get in touch by email if you would like to book, but need another date. Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking Location: Riverside Ice and Leisure centre, CM1 1FG Parking is available but there is a pay and display on site. Information: Join Aurora Sea School LTD for our comprehensive Sea Survival Course, accredited by the RYA. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the skills and knowledge necessary to survive in an emergency situation at sea. You’ll learn techniques for staying afloat, signalling for help, and more. Don’t leave your safety to chance - enroll in our Sea Survival Course today. Previous Knowledge/Experience: Not essential, but some prior reading recommended if you have time. Age: There is no minimum or maximum age limit, but under 18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult guardian. What’s included: The latest version of the ‘RYA sea survival Manual’, The sea survival certificate (upon successful completion of the syllabus). You will also be provided with tea coffee and water. What will I need to bring? 1. A notebook and pens to make notes 2. Clothing for the pool (Swimsuit or Shorts and t-shirt are fine) 3. Towel and change of clothes Course structure This is a one day course and is a mixture of Classroom and Practical inputs. 11am-3pm will be classroom based and 4pm-6pm will be in the pool completing skills and drills. This course introduces the following subjects: • The Difficulties and Requirements of Survival • Actions prior to abandonment • Lifejackets, Life rafts and associated equipment • Practical Life raft and in-water drills • The Principles of Survival, Aids to Location and Survival Ailments • Search and Rescue (SAR) provision for the UK Declaration This course has a number of physical elements attached to it, please advise us ahead of time if you are injured and may be unable to complete the tasks involved.
